Sun City West Christian Church is building today for tomorrow. We welcome all people from the surrounding areas. The Church was established December 12, 1991 at the Community Service Building, R.H. Johnson and Stardust. It was planted under the leadership of First Christian Church of Sun City with Paul Enabnit as evangelist. Dr. Robert Hanson was called to serve as the first minister and served until April 1, 1992, at which time Erskine E. Scates was called. During Bro. Scates’ ministry, the church sanctuary was built. In February 2003, Dr. Wayne Dykstra was called to serve as Senior Minister. For more than 11 years, the Sun City West Church has been a spiritual storehouse in the West Valley of Arizona where the Bible has consistently been honored and taught as God’s inspired and ever-relevant Word to man. It is a non-denominational fellowship of Christians who have come from many different religious backgrounds, but have found a common ground in acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord.What you will find when you visit Sun City West Christian Church
A people who love to be with each other! Friends are important to us and we will try to make you welcome the first moment you arrive.
We love to worship the Lord! When the service begins, you will hear our praise as the music uplifts and encourages. We enjoy contemporary and traditional music that touches our heart. During our worship hour, we sing hymns and choruses that are uplifting and soul stirring.
You will hear practical and understandable messages. (Life notes are available for note taking and further study.) When the minister begins his message, you may be pleasantly surprised because you will be able to understand him. His Bible centered messages will help you understand God and help you find the answers for your life.
You will find compassionate people. We know we are sinners saved by God’s grace and so we love to have hurting people join us! You will find us to be older, younger, married, divorced, and single. We are people from all walks of life!
What we believe!
We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired and protected Word of God. Because of that belief, we use the Bible as our only guide for what to believe and what to practice.
